Managing Our Townhome Community
Residents at 10654 are shifting away from the Bright Star Management Company, toward a leaner, resident-directed association that protects our shared spaces, our property values, and our peace of mind—without the unnecessary burden of homeowners doing maintenance themselves. If you’d like to get involved in having your townhome also transition into a new maintenance plan, please call the number provided to get in touch and get involved.
Why Consider Leaving BrightStar Management Company?
Residents have expressed concerns about cost, responsiveness, and the overall value of the current HOA model. By restructuring, we can:
- Lower overhead
- Improve service quality
- Maintain full legal coverage
- Keep decision-making local and human
- Build a management system that works with us, not above us
Our Next Steps
The transition team is contacting a structural engineer, getting general liability quotes, creating flyers to find other interested townhome complexes interested in the transition.
We have a kickass team right off the bat with an accountant, a real estate agent with a background in building and finance, a professional gardener/landscaper, a real estate agent, a few DIY inclined homebodies, and tech-savvy individuals. We would love to have anyone onboard with expertise in real estate law.
We plan to incorporate as a nonprofit, open a bank account, and with our kickass tiny team of volunteers, we will increase our property value and explore tree, gutter, trash, and landscaping service bids, meet about financial projections, and explore legal pathways to receive the ‘reserves’ that Brightstar management company might owe us.
Below, you will find documents and timelines. Call us, if you want to make our neighborhood feel connected, cohesive, and well taken care of.
